These artworks were born as part of a personal process of introspection. This process became deeper in 2016 when I moved from Chile to England, where my journey as an artist started. While I was turning my interest into the exploration of my boundaries and my unknown territories, I was also trying to get used to a number of new external circumstances.
During this period of time I met again with older visual languages and new ones. I began to learn from watercolours that you can’t control everything in life and most of the time this organic process can give you amazing surprises.
Fluid and unpredictable colours become the atmosphere from which I generally start an illustration. From there, a human being depicted through elastic and exaggerated shapes allows me to tell stories that live between my imagination and the echo from reality.
